Guided tour to Albaicín and Centro Granada
Join this guided tour where we will tour the most picturesque corners of the center of Granada and the Albaicín neighborhood.
The Albaicin declared World Heritage by UNESCO in 1994, is the most picturesque and ancient quarter of Granada, with the classical layout of the Arab medinas was the origin of the City, residence of the ziríes kings and refuge of the moriscos ...
It began to settle in Iberian times, and there was dispersed Roman settlement. There is no data of Islamic settlement prior to the arrival of the Berber Zirids, so it is assumed that the city was abandoned from the end of the Roman Empire to the founding of the Zirí kingdom (1013) that was when it was surrounded by ramparts (Alcazaba Cadima).
